My name is Jean-François Périllat-Turbide, but you can call me J-F.
5 years ago my partner and I decided to drop the pin in Cork City to build a life.
If I were to explain the origins of this project, Tropic of Cork, I would trace it back to the first time my dad and sister visited us from Montréal, Québec.
It was June and we decided to rent a car to explore the far reaches of County Cork. We ended up in Mizen Head amongst others where they were completely awestruck. The sweltering heat, the palm trees, the array of wild flowers and the beep blue of the ocean... Paradise!

Tropic Of Cork is a photographic project hellbent on reminding people that above all the clouds and rain there is a blue sky and I am super stoked to have found a way to share that vision with you!
